SHOPPING FROM HOME: HALLOWEEN DECOR
Let's do a little FUN post! Since this year has been all about the home front; how we live in our homes, how we take care of our families, how we stay safe and how we enjoy our homes. Big, small, apartment or house, I think we have all found something we can improve on, and something that has not worked 100 % as we thought it should, am I right? That leads me to the thought of decoration for the holidays, the serious meaningful ones, but also the fun-for-all-ages ones. Enter one of our go-to resources, for all things fun. Do you Etsy? We do!! We often source from, and support small businesses who sell on Etsy, and it's always a fun day when we find something new there.
When shopping from home, and needing party supplies or last minute decorations and accessories, often it's Etsy to the rescue. Here we have rounded up a few great shops (and two non-Etsy shops), to help get your Halloween Decor spruced up.

This is about the most stylish Halloween decor we have seen around. No orange pumpkins, no skeletons in the front yard and no hanging chiffon ghosts, moving in the breeze.
I am going to attempt to set these 3D bats up on our house this year. I will let you know how it goes, but I am sure the kids will be surprised, as I have never really attempted this before. These pvc bats ship flat and need to be shaped, surely this will be a full day project! I like that there are several different shapes in this pack.

Funkissd Etsy shop is a favorite of ours, and these 3D Bats have a subtle glitter effect, and come with double sided tape, easy to install indoors. I have already ordered a couple of sets, and look forward to installing them in the kids bedroom, shhhh!
And while you are at it, grab the cake topper and the black and white bat decorated straws! If you are not really into the bat theme (and let's just be honest, this whole 2020 covid disaster was caused by bats, it's easy to understand if you prefer something else), how about these equally cool butterflies?
Savannah Lane is also a fun decal shop on Etsy. We found this scary looking cat there. I see him lurking by the front door.

If you plan on sending out a spooky note, why not use some Vintage - unused - stamps, from the Etsy shop Enfield Post (another personal favorite of mine, though I usually source Christmas stamps here). The designer in me loves these Alexander Calder stamps, they kinda remind me of a bat... do you see it? Or did I just "ruin" this cool mobile for you? Let's throw in a little Alfred Hitchcock for good measure.

We are a "mixed crew" here at NLD, and I personally did not grow up with Halloween decor, as this was not a holiday celebrated in Denmark. That being said, since we are all staying closer to home this year, we thought it would be fun to get a little creative, while keeping it classy.
